Attracted by Marlborough's ability to produce wines of stunning distinctiveness, Bruce Stapleton and Geoffrey Sprot came to the region in 1997 to establish Riversleigh Estate. It took a further two years to find and purchase the present 86 acre vineyard which lies on the Wairau river gravels near Renwick, in the heart of the best that Marlborough has to offer.

Marlborough's long warm days together with cool nights produce wines of such aromatic intensity that they are now known the world over.
